Since joining the board in 1996, Walter Morehead has worked to develop a full palette of talents. He believes differences are strengths, and that bringing together people with many kinds of backgrounds and opinions is the best way to plan for the future, solve a problem- or run a hospital.

     "Diversity is not something that should be driven by law," he says. "It's actually your best business decision. I think every element of diversity has something positive to offer to the whole organization."
