Board of Trustees Chairs ...
          These individuals have served as chairmen of the Hospital Board of Trustees since 1948. In the early years, the chairmen were often involved in day-to-day operations, even to the point of signing almost every check issued by the Hospital. In more recent years, however, the chairmen have delegated many of the managerial functions to the Chief Executive Officer and the Executive Staff. The Board now devotes its energies to developing policies and setting the overall course for the health system. The Board is made up of 20 volunteers appointed by the Pitt County Board of Commissioners.
