Pitt
County Memorial Hospital Annual Reports (1976-1992) and Quarterly Reports
(1993-1999)
After
the Hospital moved into new building facilities in 1977, it began issuing
an Annual Report to the community. These reports feature the people
and departments of the Hospital and give financial and statistical data
from the past year. In 1992, the Hospital began issuing a Quarterly
Report, which was organized into sections, ranging from patient care
to finance, reflecting the accomplishments and goals of Pitt County
Memorial Hospital. (9.2, 9.3)
Medical Center Report (1979-1991) [missing some issues]
These newsletters were published monthly by The Office of Communications
and Publications, Pitt County Memorial Hospital and The Office of Information
and Publications, East Carolina University School of Medicine. (9.23)
Pitt
County Memorial Hospital Events
The
oldest materials included here are photographs of the groundbreaking
and construction of the Hospital on West Fifth Street that began in
1949. The most recent images were produced in 2001. In addition to photographic
materials, there are printed announcements, relevant to special, Hospital-sponsored
events that took place between 1977 and 2001. (9.4-9.6)
Three notebooks of photographic slides provide images of hospital buildings
and facilities, various hospital departments, employees, equipment, as well
as planning charts and graphs that were used in presentations. There are also
images taken at special events sponsored by PCMH. The slides date from 1965
through 1985. Most of the slides were made between 1981 and 1985. (9.25)
Three photograph albums are preserved here in their entirety. One documents
the ceremonial renewal of the affiliation agreement between Pitt County
Memorial Hospital and the School of Medicine at East Carolina University
in 1994. The other two provide a visual record of the many events commemorating
the Hospital's 50th Anniversary during 2001. (9.7)
