Interviews
Forty-five
transcriptions of interviews with doctors, nurses and administrators
who have worked at PCMH are included here. Discussion focuses on the
role each individual played in the development of the Hospital and offers
insight to various aspects of health care during the period when he
or she worked there. The interviews were conducted by Beth Nelson and
Marion Blackburn between 2000 and 2001. (9.28)

Mrs.
Sally Lucido who worked at the Hospital from 1976 to 1999 compiled this
document from newspaper articles and the minute books of the Board of
Trustees.(9.28)
Happy
50th Birthday PCMH
Dr.
Eric Fearrington, a long-time health care provider in Greenville, North
Carolina who played an important role in negotiating an affiliation
agreement between the Hospital and the School of Medicine at East Carolina
University made this presentation to the Hospital medical staff on February
27, 2001. (9.28)
Photographic
Resource Materials
These
materials were gathered by Debi Crotts, designer of the book PCMH, A
Tradition of Excellence, for use in the book. The collection consists
primarily of three notebooks of printouts of scanned images and slides
taken from the photograph collection of Medical Center News and Information.
There are also copies of early hospital photographs gathered from the
Daily Reflector newspaper negatives located in the Special Collections
of Joyner Library at East Carolina University. Digital images used in
production of the book are also included here. (9.29-30)
VIP
Mrs.
Etsil Mason, Director of Volunteer Services, produced the volunteer
newsletter, "VIP" (Volunteer Information Publication) from
1982 to 2000. A complete run of the newsletter is part of this collection.

Examples

PCMH promotional brochures, Occupational Opportunity flyers, Patient
handbooks, Regional Rehabilitation Center brochures, Nursing brochures,
Safety Committee Handbooks and a memorandum to PCMH Employees Concerning
Desert Storm Jan. 17, 1990. Also included are preparation materials
for the 1997 Joint Commission for Accreditation of Health Care Organizations
