Welcome to the 2014 NC Serials Conference!

The 23rd North Carolina Serials Conference, hosted by the North Carolina Central University's School of Library and Information Sciences, will be held Friday, March 14, 2014 at The William and Ida Friday Continuing Education Center in Chapel Hill, NC. The 2014 conference theme is “Measuring Value - Redefining Your Impact.” We are continuing the popular one-day conference format and the even more popular low registration fee ($35; $15 for library school students).

Many of us are being asked to move beyond traditional ways to measure our work and utilize even more complex measures or ways to convey the value of what we do. We are also being asked to describe how our efforts specifically impact our users and enhance our institution's reputation. Telling this story effectively is especially important when talking with administrators and competing for institutional support and resources. The planning committee promises this conference will provide tools and innovative approaches for helping meet this challenge.

Please join us!
