Ragsdale and Robert Wright; correspondence with John Ehringhaus, J.Y. Joyner and Emma Hooper; an interview with J.Y. Joyner; and biographical information regarding Thomas J. Jarvis and James L. Fleming.
Series consists of a scrapbook regarding the life of Fay Creegan compiled by Betty Congleton. Ms. Creegan was born in Raleigh in 1943 the daughter of Thomas and Faye Creegan. She attended East Carolina College graduating
in 1965. She went on to become a teacher and a horse breeder. She died in a tornado in 1984. The scrapbook contains photographs, correspondence and other memorabilia related to Creegan's life.

Minnie Thorne, class of 1927, donated tuition checks and a letter from her father I.R. Thorne to Lady Principal Martha Armstrong giving permission for Minnie to make her own decisions related to company and going out with
friends.

Course schedule, diploma and teaching certificate belonging to ECTC graduate Ruth Annette Johnson, class of 1948. Miss Johnson was an English and Commerce major.
Original score of ECTC College Song, "Dear Old Teachers College," words and music composed by Melba Watson Woodruff. Also contains a program from "Reflections: Musical Memories of East Carolina Teachers College."
Woodruff was a senior in 1933 when the school held a competition for the creation of a school song. Her song was featured in school handbooks from that time through the 1960's.
Papers of unidentified students, faculty and staff that are personal in nature found at the university. The series includes an undated letter on ECTTS stationery written by Vera Mae. It appears to be a senior memorial from about
1918.
Army Air Corps / Air Force flight logs that Col. Lewis J. Partridge maintained during his service in the United States Air Force from 1941 to 1963 totaling 5052 hours of flight. During the years 1954 to 1957 the colonel was
stationed in Greenville and worked for the ECU AFROTC program. He flew students out of Stallings Airfield in Kinston. The log chronicles Partridge's career starting in Alabama in 1941 through Louisiana, Mississippi, Arkansas,
South Carolina, North Carolina, the Philippines, Texas, Arizona, England, New York and Washington D.C. In addition to serving at Greenville, Col. Partridge was also stationed at Ft. Bragg for a time.
In addition to the flight log, Col. Partridge prepared a portfolio of photographs, descriptions and specifications of planes that he flew during his career. These include the Douglas RB-66B, AT-10 Beechcraft and BT-13/15 Vultee.
Mabel Chappell Orr of Hertford, NC attended ECTC Summer School in 1924. She went on to teach in Graham County, NC schools. In 2004, her daughter Betsy Orr Anderson donated photocopies of newspaper articles written
by Mrs. Orr regarding her teaching experiences, photographs of Hertford High School students who attended ECTC, transcripts and a teachers certificate. The photographs are now part of the University Archives Photograph
Collection, numbers P5662 through P5667.
Diplomas donated by Bettie Burce and Geneva Exum of Greenville, North Carolina. Bettie Bruce graduated in 1921 and Geneva in 1923 from the East Carolina Teachers Training School.

Verona Topping Lancaster was a summer term student at ECTC from 1924 to about 1954. The collection consists of her high school diploma from Roanoke Rapids where she graduated in 1918 and her ECTC Course Book listing
her summer school courses from 1924 to 1939. Especially interesting is an autograph book dated Summer 1924 listing classmates names, addresses, birthdates and verses. Also included in the collection are her son Tom
Lancaster's elementary and high school report cards from Vanceboro where the family lived.
