The library was originally created in August 1974 to serve the Schools of Allied Health, Nursing and the newly formed Medical School. The library reported to the Vice Chancellor of Academic Affairs. For early records see record group AA7014. In 1986 the library was moved into the Health Sciences Division. It is located in the Brody Building. The mission of the Laupus Health Sciences Library is to provide leadership in access to information for healthcare education, service and research in eastern North Carolina.Dates: 1986-present
